2019 Jury member Charlotte Haslund-Christensen to join 60Seconds Creative Advisory Board

We are proud to anounce and happy to wellcome 2019 jury member, Charlotte Haslund-Christensen to join 60Seconds Creative Advisory board.

She will be working together with Morten Vammen, Pio Diaz, and Thierry Geoffroy / Colonel.

Charlotte Haslund-Christensen is a visual artist born and based in Copenhagen. She is a graduate of the Danish school of art photography Fatamorgana (1996) and the International Center of Photography in New York (1997).
Haslund-Christensen's long-term photographic and video art projects are performative and documentary, taking their impetus from the specific contexts in which they are created, for example anthropological 'expeditions' (the artist as explorer in Natives: The Danes), in the basement of a police station (posing as a mugshot photographer for Who's Next?) or as a traveling photographer or camerawoman in local communities (in Heroes, To Tingberg with Love, Hope & Fear and her current project Manywhere). A common political thread throughout her oeuvre is addressing stereotypes and the role of the media - past and the present - in their creation.

Since both festivals dealing with works of short duration and are interested in alternative viewing platforms and democratic solutions to artistic expression and public spaces we wish to cooperate and to spread this exhibition model and form of expression to new places.

At Piksel 17 we’ll screen the films virtually in public space with the piratebox technology which allows people to connect to a network router to see the exhibition on their smart devices.
